Some thoughts on the first months music:

Wow three discs, about 400 songs, took awhile to get through...

Aesop Rock - Float
Wow, this guy is so good he could start his own religion. Float is better than Bazooka tooth and almost as good Labor Days.

Anti-Flag
Good punk rock, but not ground breaking or even that memorable. The content of their lyrics is what sets them apart, but they take it to a bit of an extreme. I can't seem to get into punk like I once could. Maybe I'm just not as angry anymore. At least these guys aren't 25 years old singing about being 15 years old. That's one part of punk I never quite understood.

Atmosphere - Headshots
I love Atmosphere, this album is probably only good if you've already heard their other discs. There should be a "fans only" disclaimer on the cover. I'm happy to add it to my Atmosphere collection.

Justin Sane
SUCKS

Living Legends - Creative Differences
The title track is sick, but overall this should be better. The cast is incredible so I guess I was expecting something amazing. Still really good just not the great disc it could be. Plus it's got a little bit to much west coast thug feel for my tastes.

LPJZ
File under guilty pleasure. I really want to hate this, but I don't.

NOFX covering Rancid
Best punk band ever.

Ozomatli - Street Signs
Hard to listen to without smiling. If you like this check out Los Amigos Invisibles.

Propagandhi
I've always loved this band. Check out "how to clean everything" I think it's their best album.

Rise Against
This band is much better than I originally thought. Good songwriting lots of energy and I like the scratchy vocals. The guys in this band look like they should be in VW bus following Phish around the country, not in a punk band.

Strike Anywhere
Brad, clean your CDs. Some of the tracks skip so bad they aren't worth listening to. But otherwise, I'm pleasantly surprised with this band.

Sum 41
I really want to hate these guys. But they do a surprisingly good job of mixing metal and punk (especially on chuck). Before I kinda thought of them as rap-rock crap that dumb people liked just because it was loud. They proved me wrong, but I'm pretty sure I still hate them.

Taking Back Sunday
My cousin is in a band with the singers brother. The Van Halen-esque intro on The Blue Channel is sweat, but the rest of the song is boring. The whole album is derivative MTV spoon-fed emo bullshit. How does music like this get passed off as punk. Kids these days are a bunch of pussies.

Tiger Army
Cool, just because they are psycho-billy. I like the recordings, but I think they are better live.

Toby Keith
Look everyone Brad's being ironic.
