Yoda would be proud

That Jedi Mind Tricks album is off the heezee. Can’t believe I’ve never heard it before. What’s the deal with these guys?? I would guess them from NYC, but I hear them mention “illadelph”, which I translate (via the Roots) to Philly. Whoever their DJ is, he is genius. Those beats are so… eerie, and almost spooky, which doesn’t sound like a compliment, but it is. The overall style is similar to the Gravediggaz’s’s, but with an Asian-esque instrumental spin. And I love the Big Pun, Guru, etc samples in some tracks. So far, this album has received the most of my airtime of Tink’s CDs.
